“ As always, a fine dining experience. My 14 year old daughter wanted to come all the way from Hertford for her birthday meal at her favourite restaurant. Highly recommend the Shahi Mango for a mild meal and the sizzling tava for a more spicier option. ”
“ Excellent experience, food was delicious and the staff were very friendly especially a gentleman named shelim. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. ”
“ It's a very good restaurant. One of the best, if not the best, Indian restaurants I have ever been to. The food is excellent quality. Delicately and subtely spiced with plenty of flavour. The portion sizes are of a good. We ordered the Spice of India special and Chicken Rezalla. Both of which I can thoroughly recommend. The accompanying sag, bhajis, and naan breads were all cooked superbly. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. The staff there were polite, attentive, and professional. It was a very pleasant experience, and I would definitely go back. ”
“ What a fabulous Indian restaurant. Can highly recommend it. Wish we had one as good where we live (Germany). We went on the Sunday evening and immediately decided to return on the Monday. You can't get enough of a good thing ”
“ I thought we’d try this place out , because I’ve eaten in the cafe next door and this place looks interesting . It’s decorated very swish for an Indian restaurant if you know what I mean , with expensive looking bits and bobs on the table and lighting which gave it a bright and fresh look . The music was very serene piano concerto which I enjoyed not because I particularly like piano music , but it made an impression in a restaurant . Before we get on to the food the toilets are nicely decorated as well and spotlessly clean ! Only one thing left the food . Gorgeous! Even our keema naan was fluffy not greasy . Top marks all round . Faultless ”
“ We have just had a lovely family meal at Spice of India where the food was divine. Usually we have to book well in advance to get a table but we're lucky tonight. The staff here are very attentive perhaps overly so but the whole evening has gone really well. My meal was the Bombay Sizzling Tava, photo attached. Spice of India is a bit out of the way unless you live in the Cranham area of Upminster but it is worth the journey. ”
“ Have been using Spice of India for a number of years and I can honestly say there is no better Indian anywhere in the area. The food is always top notch and the service is professional, friendly and attentive. Absolutely superb in every way. ”
“ I love love love this place, hands down my favourite Indian and it must be everyone else's too as it's always rammed in there so 100% book a table.if you want to give it a try. The service is brilliant, the staff are friendly, welcoming and effecient, and they remember you between visits which i really like. The food here is amazing and one way another I've ordered all their sides and a lot of their mains, I normally opt for lamb anything and its divine. I've never ordered wine here as they have a good variety of beer on tap and they're always super quick with drinks. We order popodoms to start and the sauces are well presented and generous and I love the hot lemon flannel at the end. Highly recommend this place!! ”
